New South Wales (NSW) bed and breakfast in Sydney and beyond…
sydney
New South Wales (abbreviated as NSW) is Australia's most populous state, located in the south-east of the country, north of Victoria and south of Queensland. It has the highest concentration of bed and breakfast accommodation in Australia. The largest city in New South Wales is Sydney, famous for iconic symbols such as Sydney Harbour and its remarkable Opera House. Although NSW has a strong nautical history, the landscape of New South Wales ranges from the subtropical north to the Snowy Mountains in the south, which contain Australia’s highest point, Mount Kosciuszko. There are over 800 miles of coastline with golden beaches including the famous Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte beaches and Byron Bay at the northern tip of NSW, better known as 'the surfing Mecca'. There are dozens of picturesque waterways and rivers, including the thousand-mile Murray River.
New South Wales is vast and varied and the variation never fails to startle bed and breakfast tourists. There are B&Bs, lodges and inns to be found all over the state, from snow-capped mountains with terrific skiing facilities to long, pristine sandy beaches. There are alpine areas that blossom with summery wildflowers and vast areas of secluded bush and wonderful wildlife. You can stay in bed and breakfasts with colonial architecture in the desolate outback with its resonant ancient Aboriginal history to the cosmopolitan buzz of Sydney. New South Wales has something for everyone. It incorporates some of the best beaches, natural bush and the gorgeous Sydney harbor scene. The Blue Mountains area to the north is colder than elsewhere in NSW and the air is fresher there, but B&B establishments in the vicinity offer a warm welcome. The Snowy Mountains offer the perfect skiing conditions and when the snow melts there is always the possibility of a wild water rafting trip.
New South Wales has over seventy national parks. Featherdale Wildlife Park offers an authentic look at native land animals, while Oceanworld Manly provides a habitat for thousands of sea animals. The limestone Jenolan Caves illustrate the hidden life of the Blue Mountains, and the Forest of Tranquility protects the New South Wales rainforests. Mountaineers can attempt to scale Mt. Kosciusko, the country's highest peak, during the summer. When staying at a New South Wales bed and breakfast in the Sydney harbor area, go to the famous Harbour Bridge, the 'Rocks' area (the place where the first settlement took place) and Chinatown for an enduring memory of your bed and breakfast stay in New South Wales.
