Idaho bed and breakfast for those winter sport visits
There is more to Idaho than the Idaho potato. Admittedly agriculture is a major industry and the Idaho potato is world famous. Indeed, two thirds of all the processed potatoes produced in the United States are grown in Idaho. But the growth of the Idaho bed and breakfast industry is due to the rising popularity of winter sports tourism in the state. Believe it or not, winter tourism now outranks all other industries in revenue in Idaho including the mighty potato trade. Idaho's many streams and lakes provide fishing, bird-watching and boating sites. The nation's largest elk herds are in Idaho and they draw hunters from all over the world, and the famed Sun Valley resort attracts thousands of visitors to its swimming, golfing, and skiing facilities. Try a Sun Valley B&B or lodge or inn for cost-effective accommodation.
The State of Idaho is situated in the Pacific Northwest region of the
USA. Boise is the state's largest city as well as its capital. Idaho is nicknamed “The Gem State” because of its abundance of natural resources. There are dozens of Boise bed and breakfasts whose names echo the word “gem”. In addition to the agricultural and tourism industries, during the 1990s there was a remarkable growth in the high technology industries especially around Boise. The Idaho B&B industry also caters to tourists other than winter sports participants. There are bed and breakfasts in the vicinity of the Craters of the Moon National Monument; Nez Perc National Historic Park and the State Historical Museum in Boise. Do make a plant to visit the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area south of Boise, Hells Canyon on the Idaho-Oregon border, and the Sawtooth National Recreation Area in south-central Idaho.
Idaho is a land of rugged beauty and millions of acres of wilderness. Idaho bed and breakfasts are situated in remarkably diverse locations because of the state’s geographic diversity. The
Idaho landscape ranges from subalpine to desert, fertile farms to granite mountains, lakes and waterfalls to gorges and canyons. At 7900 feet Hell's Canyon is the deepest canyon in North America -- deeper even than the Grand Canyon. There is Hells Canyon bed and breakfast accommodation for tourists. And the Shoshone Falls on the Snake River are higher than Niagara Falls. Many an Idaho bed and breakfast visitor includes the Shoshone Falls in their travel itinerary.
